The Stuttgart-based manufacturer Porsche has unveiled today the 2014 Porsche 911 GT America. The sports car was specially designed for the new United Sports Car Racing series GT Daytona class.

The new 2014 911 GT America will be priced at 269.000 Dollars and it will be sold in North America exclusively by Porsche Motorsport North America, Inc., based in Santa Ana, California. The deliveries will start in October, while the production has already started in Stuttgart.

The brand new 2014 911 GT America is based on the 911 GT3 Cup racer, a car that currently competes in the Porsche Supercup series.

On the outside, the new sports car features an aerodynamic package. It includes a new front spoiler, a carbon fiber undertray and a USCR-spec rear wing. For better performances the car has now 380 vented brake discs with four and six pistons aluminum calipers.

Under the hood of the 2014 911 GT America the customers will find the 4.0 liter flat six engine that can deliver 470 horsepower. The engine resources are put to the ground via a six speed sequential gear box with pneumatic paddle shift system.

“We are hopeful that our current American Le Mans Series GTC customers, along with our Rolex Grand-Am competitors and new teams, will want to take advantage of this early availability,” said Jens Walther, president of Porsche Motorsport North America.
