The 2013 Kia Niro Concept has been officially unveiled after a couple of photo teasers. The Korean prototype will be presented, next month, at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and it is previewing an upcoming urban crossover model that will compete against the Nissan Juke, the Opel Mokka or Renault Captur.

According to the Korean car manufacturer, the Niro Concept is “ready to take on the urban environment with style and tenacity”. On the outside we see a very attractive front end with a high ground clearance. The scissor doors and the sleek roof complete the extremely good looking design. In other words, the new Niro Concept is featuring a robust and a stylish body shape.

The 2013 Kia Niro Concept was developed at Kia’s Frankfurt design studio (the location is less than a kilometer away from the Frankfurt Motor Show) under the extreme direction of Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer Europe.

Inside the cabin there is a futurist center console and dashboard made from high end materials.

The 2013 Kia Niro Concept was specially designed for the European market and will come with a new power train. Judging by the two exhaust pipes and by the green accents we could say that under the bonnet of the Korean prototype will find a hybrid power train.

More details about the futuristic Kia Niro Concept will be available on September 10 after the Frankfurt Motor Show unveiling.
