The Italian sport division Abarth has released today the first info about the upcoming 2013 Abarth 595 50th Anniversary Edition. The new pocket rocket will be officially unveiled next week at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The 2013 Abarth 595 50th Anniversary was special designed to celebrate the iconic 595 model. The Italian car was fist introduce at the 1963 Turin Motor Show. The new model comes as a modern interpretation with some retro cues. As a result we see a very special car that has a matte white paint with handmade graphics and historic Abarth logos.

The 2013 Abarth 595 50th Anniversary also got xenon headlamps, panoramic glass roof and 17 inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the customers will get two-tone upholstery with aluminum pedals, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and metallic accessories.

Under the bonnet, the 2013 Abarth 595 50th Anniversary will come with the 1.4 liter TurboJet engine that can deliver 180 horsepower. The Italian engineers also installed a new exhaust system and a new set of brakes signed by Brembo. According to Abarth, the new special edition will be limited to 299 units. The order book will be opened on September 15th.

More than that, the Italian sport division will come with the 695 Maserati Edition. It has a “Record Grey” body color and the production will be limited to 49 units. The Abarth 695 Maserati Edition was designed as a tribute to Abarth’s birth in 1949.
