The German car maker Porsche has announced that the brand new 2013 918 Spyder is the quickest road legal car that runs at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. With Marc Lieb behind the wheel, the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder has managed to lap the Green Hell in just 6 minutes and 57 seconds, beating the 7 minutes and 11 seconds lap established by the Gumpert Apollo Sport.

As a reminder, the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder is coming with a V8 4.6 liter naturally aspirated unit that can offer 608 horsepower and with two electric motor that are delivering 286 HP. The sprint from stand still to 100 km/h is done in 2.8 seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 345 km/h.

In electric mode, the German supercar can sprint from not to 100 km/h in under seven seconds and it can achieve a top speed of 150 km/h.
