Porsche has released today a new video that highlights the Weissach package dedicated for the mighty 918 Spyder supercar. The unique kit was designed to express an even stronger dedication to motorsport.

The Weissach package offers a lot of lightweight components. The carbon fiber parts of the German package include the roof, the rearview mirror, the windscreen frame and the rear wing. Furthermore, the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer has added new ceramic wheel bearings, titanium chassis bolts, a lightweight braking system and 20/21 inch forged magnesium wheels.

Inside the cockpit, buyers will find a six-point seatbelt harnesses and additional Alcantara upholstery.

The new 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach is hiding under the bonnet a 4.6 liter V8 motor which is backed up by two electric units. This enables the Stuttgart hybrid supercar to produce a combined maximum output of 887 horsepower and up to 1,280 Nm peak of torque.

Thanks to all the aforementioned weight saving measures, the Weissach-equipped 918 Spyder accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 7.2 seconds and 0-300 km/h in 19.9 seconds – improvements of 0, 0.1 and 1 second respectively.
